Flank STEAK Marinade Recipe

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp slice fresh ginger, peeled, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. raw honey
1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp. sesame seed oil
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1½-2 lbs. flank steak (or tenderized round steak)

Marinate Steak for 1 hour. You can grill your steak on BBQ, cook in cast iron skillet or regular pan on the stovetop. In our house, I will either have the hubby grill OR I will cook on the stovetop in a grated pan. I start on high heat, 2 min on each side. Then turn down to medium heat and turn over 3 or 4 times (about 2 min each side) – it just depends on how DONE you want your steak. I usually cut a small slit in the thickest part during the cooking process to check doneness. Time cooked is determined by thickness of steak and your doneness preference.

Let your steak rest for at least 5 minutes. I put in a glass dish and cover with foil. Cut steak against the grain and ENJOY!
